How to Enable First-Class Video Recording in 30Mbps on Galaxy S3

Well the phone I’m going to talk about needs no introduction because it is all over the world, in advertisements on television, apps and on internet. Yes, the magnificent large screen Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 is put into account. This phone is crazily grabbing attention of all mobiler’s these days because of few new features and the most important is the official Ice cream sandwich running operating system with updation to Android 4.0.4. This phone is been sold in popular shopping sites in less than 40K (Indian price) and if you already have it then what to say..

Every bit of the phone is best and what to say about the camera feature which takes 20 shots in one click.  But the video recording is surprisingly limited because of device software. The modder ‘hyperX’ series (Samsung camera software) permits to record 1080p videos at 24 Mbps in fine mode (up from 19Mbps) and too superfine mode of 30Mbps. All these information might be giving you the feeling of royalty but the bitter truth is that it drains every last drop of battery from Samsung Galaxy S3.

It is a default setting that when the power is 15% the camera gets block and ask for charging the device. In that situation Samsung only focus on conserving battery but you can use volume buttons to facilitate the use your camera whilst on the phone. Normally the camera records 720p videos which are the minimum level for HD quality which is usually 10Mbps (leap of 15 mbps). But in superfine mode the quality of recording reach to 19 Mbps and audio to 192Kbps. The hyperX software will increase the quality to 30 Mbps and is looking to include 60fps in coming future.

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy S3 provides 16GB memory (and more) and if you want to stay away from hanging the device most often then you must expand the memory to double up by using the SD card. Anyways replace the default SamsungCamera.apk with hyperX’s Camera Mod.
